BC Retro Gaming : Guitar Hero Battle

School holidays are about to get loud at the Barwon Club Hotel as Guitar Hero Battle takes over the big screen in the bandroom for a night of retro gaming, friendly competition and classic rock anthems on Wednesday 8th July, 2026 from 6pm

Whether you're a seasoned Guitar Hero champion or picking up a plastic guitar for the first time, this all-ages event is your chance to test your skills, chase high scores and relive one of the greatest music games ever made.

Players will battle it out tournament-style on the big screen, taking on iconic tracks and challenging fellow gamers for bragging rights and prizes. Spectators can cheer on competitors while enjoying the atmosphere of the bandroom transformed into a retro gaming arena complete with lights, music and classic gaming action.

Not keen on competing? A selection of retro consoles will be available for free play throughout the evening. Revisit old favourites, introduce the kids to gaming classics or challenge your friends across generations. From rock legends to pixel-powered nostalgia, there is something for every gamer.

Designed as a family-friendly school holiday activity, Guitar Hero Battle welcomes players of all ages. Parents can relive their gaming glory days while younger players discover why Guitar Hero became a worldwide phenomenon. No experience is required and everyone is encouraged to jump in and have a go.

Doors open at 6:00pm with the Guitar Hero Battle kicking off at 7:30pm.
