Alternative rock night showcasing the Pack Rats of Geelong's live music scene through names you know and love, like The Kite Machine, Blyss, Ivy Black and Silverlake. This high-energy live performance will rock The BC Bandroom on Friday 7th August, 2026 from 7:00pm.
The Kite Machine are a Geelong-based rock band with more than a decade of writing, recording and touring behind them. Drawing from progressive, alternative and classic rock influences, they’ve built a sound that’s energetic, distinctive and unmistakably their own. Along the way they’ve earned a #1 Triple J Unearthed track, amassed millions of streams, appeared at festivals including Queenscliff Music Festival, and had their music featured on broadcasts ranging from Formula 1 and the NFL to the Big Bash.
Known for their high-energy live performances, The Kite Machine combine musicianship, chemistry and an obvious love of playing together to create the kind of atmosphere that reminds people why they fell in love with live music in the first place. IVY BLACK is an electrifying alternative pop-punk band that blends raw emotion with catchy hooks, creating a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh. Based across Melbourne and Geelong, IVY BLACK delivers high-energy performances and anthemic choruses while embracing themes of heartbreak and self-discovery. Sprouting originally from regional Victoria, the band is composed of Shannon Bishop, Callum McNab, Jack Harvey, Saxon Drummond & Liam Bishop. Silverlake are a four-piece modern rock/post-hardcore band based out of Geelong, Victoria. Aiming to blend modern sounds with the musicality and energy of the past, Silverlake’s mission is to bring guitar driven music back to how it used to be - Rough, emotionally raw and a brief escape from day-to-day life.
