A Pre-Christmas Gathering featuring some of our All-time favourite Stars & Bars Festival Partners in Crime including The Drunken Poachers, a very special in the round style trio performance by Alister Turrill, Grim Fawkner & Matt Bourke, rising duo Ally Row plus special guest DJ Chunky Love spinning interstitial wax tracks.
The Drunken Poachers deliver a raucous blend of drinking songs, bush ballads, old timey standards and old-school pub folk. Known for their rowdy singalongs, stomping rhythms and whiskey-soaked storytelling, they’ve built a loyal following across Victoria’s festival and pub circuit.
Alister Turrill, Grim Fawkner & Matt Bourke will combine forces for a rare in the round session from three of Victoria’s finest troubadours. Together, they’ll share songs, stories and a few laughs in an intimate format rarely seen in the Barwon Club Bandroom.
A bluesman with soul to spare, Alister Turrill has toured nationally alongside the likes of Jeff Lang and Ash Grunwald. His songs cut deep with grit, honesty, and a voice that feels carved from old timber.
Part poet, part road warrior, Grim Fawkner's acoustic energy is legendary. He moves from delicate fingerpicking to wild, percussive fury, bringing raw emotion and storytelling to every performance.
Matt Bourke frontman, guitarist, and master of the heartfelt hook in his band The Delusional Drunks. Bourke blends roots-rock and folk with a storyteller’s edge, capturing the heartbreak and humour of small towns and long nights.
Gippsland's own Ally Row have carved out their place as rising stars in Victoria’s live music scene with their trademark harmonies, rootsy alt-country, pop-folk sound and catchy tunes. Their recently released debut album Something More captures perfectly the essence of their live energy and sound.
DJ Chunky Love will be keeping spirits high and hips loose with vintage vinyl and smooth wax grooves between sets.
