Portal Gun are set to release their newest single 'Cosmic Train' at The Barwon Club on the 23rd of October at 7:30pm, bringing their high-energy blend of psychedelic rock and funk to The BC Bandroom with support from Chrome Gypsy + Garden Lane.
True to their name, Portal Gun moves fluidly between musical dimensions, blending groove-based rhythms with thoughtful, often philosophical themes exploring life, purpose, and society. Their hypnotic grooves, driving rhythms and expansive psych-rock sounds to create music built for the live stage and is shaped by a collaborative creative process shared equally among all band member. .
The Warrnambool-based four-piece band creating original music that traverses genres and ideas with a sense of curiosity and experimentation.
Joining them are Garden Lane, a three-piece indie and alternative band from Djilang. Co-fronted by Storm Randall and Molly Freeman with Xander Randall on drums, the band blends introspective songwriting with influences drawn from jazz, punk, classic rock and emo.
Opening the night is Chrome Gypsy, Geelong three-piece delivering heavy psychedelic rock, blues-soaked riffs and swaggering 1960s-style fuzz.
