Jesse Valach & The Testaments blaze into the BC Bandroom for the Stroke Of Luck Album Launch Tour on Saturday 25th April, 2026 from 7pm with special guests Blues Roulette.
After experiencing a stroke in 2021, amidst the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, that significantly impacted his life, Melbourne’s fiery singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist Jesse Valach is finally stepping back onto the blues stage with his upcoming release, Stroke of Luck.
Having shared the stage with some of Australia’s blues legends including Russell Morris, Geoff Achison, Jeff Lang, Lloyd Spiegel, Jimi Hocking, and Ray Beadle, Jesse has carved out a reputation as a formidable performer. He spent years performing alongside renowned harmonica player Chris Wilson, honing his craft through regular jam sessions and standout performances within the vibrant Australian blues scene.
Driven by unwavering dedication and powered by a killer rhythm section, Jesse Valach delivers electrifying live shows. His debut album reached #3 on the Australian Blues and Roots Radio Charts, followed by his second album, Separation Street, which also peaked at #3 and earned a nomination for Best Blues Album at The Age Victorian Music Awards in 2015. In 2017, Jesse was honoured as Melbourne Blues Performer of the Year, representing the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
With close to 200 performances a year at his peak, including major festivals such as Thredbo Blues, Wangaratta Jazz & Blues, Blues on Broadbeach, Australian Blues Music Festival, and Queenscliff Music Festival, along with successful international tours in New Zealand and Fiji, Jesse Valach has proven himself as a compelling artist whose journey from local blues jams to international stages continues to evolve.
